Salary: $1,790.15 - $1,825.95 semi-monthly *salary will be based on education and experience

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at Table Rock State Park, 5272 State Highway 165, Branson. Shift is primarily Wednesday through Sunday (five 8 hour days per week), from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (30 minute lunch break). Shifts will vary with the time of year and in order to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require working regularly on weekends, nights, holidays, and special events, etc.

What you’ll do:

• Perform management duties related to the overall administration, operation, maintenance, and visitor services for Table Rock State Park.
• Coordinate the development and review of specialized plans for multiple state parks or historic site interpretation, statewide resource management programs, and/or scientific research
• Oversee and review the work and behavior of various seasonal, volunteer, and full time staff, while providing performance assessment, coaching, and leadership
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing programs
• Participate in planning and directing natural or cultural history interpretation, resource management and research for Table Rock State Park.
• Assist with managing the campground reservation/registration system, present information about the park and park system, enforce park rules and regulations
• Assist with developing and administering long-range plans, short-term projects, and special events
• Assist with administrative functions including: annual budget requests, tracking and managing budget allocations, project recommendations, bidding and purchasing materials and services, revenue

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can include: Park Management, Parks and Recreation, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Biology, Fisheries, Natural Sciences, Business or Public Administration, or related field (Experience involving management, supervision, and active participation in various activities involving interpretation, preservation, protection, maintenance, and enhancement of state parks and historic sites may substitute for the required education.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license
• Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts
• Available to participate in meetings, workshops and seminars requiring overnight stays
• Must be able to walk long distances on uneven terrain in all kinds of weather and environmental conditions and have the ability to lift 25 pounds
• Table Rock State Park is part of a management unit consisting of Table Rock, Shepherd of the Hills, and Bryant Creek State Parks. Table Rock State Park is the primary work location, however on occasion, this position will need to perform work at the other locations within the management unit.
• Willingness to be flexible and respond to in park emergencies after hours.
• Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
